Austen Hacker is a pharmacist, musician, and lifelong learner whose journey has been shaped by faith, perseverance, and a commitment to personal growth. Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, he has built a career in pharmacy while maintaining a deep appreciation for music, technology, fitness, and service. Although he takes his professional responsibilities seriously, Austen considers his relationship with God to be the central guiding force in his life, influencing both his personal values and professional decisions.

Throughout his life, Austen has embraced challenges as opportunities for growth. His experiences in music, healthcare, academics, and personal development have helped him cultivate resilience, humility, and a strong sense of purpose.

Early Life and Education

Born on May 31, 1990, Austen grew up in Ruston, Louisiana, and Texarkana, Texas. He attended Texas High School, where he excelled academically and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008. During his high school years, he was actively involved in piano performance, track and field, and cross-country running. He also participated in the youth ministry at Fellowship Bible Church and joined a mission trip to Monterrey, Mexico, experiences that strengthened his faith and commitment to service.

A formative experience in his childhood came in 2003 when his family adopted two biological siblings from Penza, Russia. The experience broadened his perspective on family, compassion, and the importance of supporting others.

After high school, Austen attended Baylor University, earning a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 2012 with Cum Laude honors. While music was a major passion, he eventually recognized that pursuing a sustainable career as a concert pianist would be challenging. This realization prompted him to explore other professional paths that aligned with his strengths and interests.

He subsequently attended the University of Louisiana Monroe, earning a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science in 2015. Continuing his studies, he completed his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at the University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy in 2018.

Career

As a pharmacist, Austen has combined scientific knowledge with a desire to help others improve their health and well-being. His extensive educational background prepared him for a profession that requires precision, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient care.

Throughout his career, he has emphasized lifelong learning and personal accountability. Austen believes that professional success is not defined solely by outcomes or titles, but by continuous growth, engagement, and the willingness to learn from every experience.

His organizational approach reflects this mindset. He frequently uses digital planning tools, electronic calendars, and productivity systems to manage projects, deadlines, and long-term goals. These habits have helped him navigate the demands of both his professional responsibilities and personal pursuits.

Faith and Personal Philosophy

Faith plays a central role in Austen’s life. He attends The Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock, Arkansas, and views his relationship with God as the foundation for his accomplishments and personal growth.

Over the years, Austen has developed a philosophy centered on perseverance, humility, self-discipline, honesty, patience, kindness, and tenacity. Having faced personal challenges, including years of living with undiagnosed ADHD, he learned the importance of resilience and self-understanding. These experiences strengthened his determination and shaped his belief that success should be measured by growth and character rather than external recognition.

He often emphasizes that genuine success comes from how a person views themselves and the lessons they learn along the way, rather than how successful they appear to others.

Today

Today, Austen Hacker continues to serve as a pharmacist while pursuing personal growth, spiritual development, and lifelong learning. His journey from musician to healthcare professional reflects adaptability, determination, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities when circumstances change.

Guided by faith and driven by a desire to make meaningful contributions, Austen remains committed to helping others, growing professionally, and living a life grounded in purpose, integrity, and service.
